If you are on the higher rate tax band, you would need to earn approx €28,000 to bring home €14,000 net; Other options would be to look at the sharing economy.. think upwork.com for freelancing work (turn your hobby into a side income stream), think housemydog.com, think Skipti (rent out your stuff to people!). Money saving tip: Big savings are available to all if you shop around each year for home, health and car insurance policies, not to mention all your utility suppliers, gas, electricity, mobile phone, land line, broadband and TV. The savings help justify the spend on that extravagant item you’ve wanted, at least that’s my excuse. First job: Fond memories of various summer jobs I had over the years from working in a carnival, to McDonalds and H Williams supermarket. I still remember the pride I felt when a 15 year old me was “promoted” to being responsible for my own aisle in the supermarket!
