Enterprise Ireland has today announced the launch of a nationwide business development programme, which is aimed at supporting the setting up of start up companies in the information technology and life science sectors that have significant export potential.
The initiative, the latest stage of Enterprise Ireland’s ‘Propel Ideas into Business’ programme, is geared towards providing a select number of entrepreneurs and early stage businesses with the skills and training required to take the next step in expanding their service offerings, in Ireland and overseas.

Ireland needs to increase the amount of capital it has available for young business ideas if it is to start and grow enterprises on an “unprecedented scale”, according to the draft report, in today’s Irish Times.

It is important to be able to seek counsel and take advice. A director, owner or manager at the helm of an insolvent business is in a pressure-cooker environment. When the wolves are at the door it is nearly impossible to make correct decisions. It is vital that somebody with fresh eyes looks at the business from an independent and dispassionate perspective.
